Product Care

General Care

All purchased pieces are cleaned prior to packaging and shipping.

We suggest to wipe clean the jewelry pieces every now and then and properly store them in an enclosed container. This is to prolong the life of your pieces by avoiding dust accumulation and gemstones from slamming into one another.

At ALL times, it is suggested to avoid strong, fierce slamming into any jewelry pieces which might cause the stone(s) to fall off and the mounting to deform. Avoid wearing jewelry when you are doing housework, gardening, or participating in sports.

Washing hands & taking a shower are generally fine, as our pieces are made with 18-Karat gold, which are inert to soap & water. Though we recommend to take the pieces off to prolong their life.

We also encourage keeping your pieces in separate bags or boxes to prevent gemstones from scratching against one another.

Karat Gold & Care

At Dear Stones Club, karat gold are usually used for manufacturing our jewelry pieces. Each product is shelved with clear & detailed description of the metal & gemstones used.

K (Karat Gold) refers to the gold content and purity. At Dear Stones Club, we offer jewelry pieces made with 18K gold, unless otherwise specified. 18K gold is durable, good for mounting gemstones & precious.

Will 18k gold fade or tarnish? Can I wear in shower?
    • 18k gold is alloyed with a good amount of gold, which is ~75%. While gold is an inert metal, fading/tarnishing problem is at minimal to none at all, under normal circumstances. Except for excessive wear and tear, the original color of gold will be exposed, and there will be an illusion of fading. In addition, 18k gold is under the exposure of water, except with strong chemicals.
    • We still recommend to take your karat gold jewelries off during shower, swim and sports & workouts to best prolong your beloved pieces.
